How to Use SQL Database Recovery
STEP 1: Download and install the SQL recovery app on your PC. This is the home interface of the software. Note: you need to stop the running MS SQL Server, if any.
STEP 2: Click 'Select Database' to select the corrupt MDF file, if you know its location. In the 'Search Database' module, you can also search for the corrupt database.
STEP 3: After execution of the scan, the recoverable database objects are listed in a tree-view on the left-hand side. Click an object to see its preview in the right.
STEP 4 : You can search for a particular object in the list of recoverable items. Provide the object name or a part of the name in the text-box next to 'Find Item', check the appropriate check-box 'Match case' or 'Match whole word', and then click 'Find Next'.
STEP 5 : Click 'Start Repair' icon on the toolbar. The 'SERVER\INSTANCENAME' dialog box appears. Provide your SQL Server instance name then you are done.
